My interpretation of the little known historical account of 16 year old Emma De Guader who, in 1075, defended Norwich Castle against the overwhelming forces of William the Conqueror for 3 months before negotiation safe escape for herself and her people. Using costume I explore the emotions and thought processes she might have been experiencing. I also aim to bring her story to an audience that otherwise may never of heard of it.
